Material: Gilt brass
Size: 25 mm
Description: This circular, high-dome uniform button showcases a prominently raised central vignette of an eagle or albatross soaring in full flight across a horizontally lined background field. Directly surmounting the bird is the detailed St. Edward's Crown, commonly known as the Queen's Crown, which reflects the post-1953 structural shifts in British and Commonwealth heraldic insignia. Sweeping gracefully along the lower rim, crisp capitalized block letters spell out the official branch initials "R.C.A.F." to explicitly denote the Royal Canadian Air Force. This large 25mm tunic variant features a brilliant fire-gilt finish over a sturdy brass base, retaining sharp, crisp highlights with minimal surface wear. The reverse is stamped with the prestigious maker's mark of "W.M. Scully Ltd Montreal" and is equipped with a integrated heavy-gauge wire attachment loop.
Circa: 1953-1968
