Royal Canadian Air Force Button

Under Review

Material: Plastic or Bakelite-type composition.

Size: 22 mm.

Description: This Royal Air Force (RAF) uniform button is constructed from injection-molded black plastic. The circular face features an embossed design depicting the traditional RAF eagle (historically structured as an albatross) in full flight, facing right with outstretched wings. Surmounting the majestic bird is a detailed Queen's Crown (QC), specifically representing the St. Edward's Crown profile introduced at the start of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. The reverse is completely unmarked, showcasing a smooth composite finish fitted with a single, integrated self-plastic loop shank intended for standard thread tailoring to uniform fabric.

Circa: 1954-1968.
