RCAF King's Crown Uniform Button

Under Review

Material: Gilt brass

Size: 17 mm

Description: This circular, high-dome military uniform button exhibits a prominently raised, highly detailed central vignette of an albatross or eagle in full, soaring flight. Directly surmounting the majestic bird is the classic Tudor Crown, commonly referred to as the King's Crown, which signifies direct organizational allegiance to the reigning British monarch. Sweeping elegantly along the lower rim, crisp capitalized block letters spell out the official branch initials "R.C.A.F." to explicitly denote the Royal Canadian Air Force. This compact 17mm cuff or pocket variant features a brilliant fire-gilt finish over a sturdy brass or copper-alloy base, retaining sharp, crisp highlights with minimal surface wear. The reverse is stamped with the prestigious maker's mark of "Firmin London" and is equipped with a heavy-gauge wire attachment loop.
Circa: 1924–1952
