Royal Canadian Navy Uniform Button

Under Review

Material: Gilt brass
Diameter: 23 mm
Description: The uniform component represents the official service dress hardware issued to sailors and officers serving across the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). Spanning across the center of the dome sits the country name in bold, raised capital lettering. Positioned directly over the national inscription is an intricately detailed St. Edward’s Queen's Crown, which rests cleanly atop a traditional vertical navy anchor. The entire circular face is securely bordered by a heavily detailed, continuous twisted rope edge pattern. The reverse side features a sturdy, integrated wire loop shank accompanied by a crisply stamped manufacturer hallmark reading Gaunt, London.
Circa: 1953-1968
Notes:

J.R. Gaunt & Son in London was a premier British contractor heavily relied upon to supply high-durability, premium brass uniform details to Commonwealth maritime fleets throughout the mid-twentieth century.
