Material: Gilt brass
Size: 25 mm
Description: This beautifully struck, convex 25mm tunic button centers around a detailed raised maple leaf resting inside a traditional garter band. The decorative strap is sharply inscribed with the historic Anglo-Norman motto of the Order of the Garter, "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE," which translates directly to "shame on him who thinks evil of it." Capping the top of the dynamic round medallion is a prominent Tudor King's Crown, beautifully balanced by the country name "CANADA" arching gracefully along the upper edge. The reverse side features a sturdy, intact brazed wire loop closure stamped with the prestigious manufacturer mark "J.R. GAUNT & SON LONDON."
