Description: Die-stamped in heavy brass (gilding metal), the convex face displays a highly detailed, embossed central garter ring containing the traditional Order of the Garter motto, "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" (Shame on him who thinks evil of it). Nestled inside the ring is a single, stylized Canadian maple leaf, while a prominent Tudor King's Crown (kc) surmounts the emblem. Arching along the upper border is the bold country name "CANADA."
Reverse: Marked J.R. GAUNT & SON LTD LONDON with fixed shank.
