Material: Gilt brass

Size: 15 mm

Description: This circular 15mm brass uniform button features the iconic, interlinked historical monogram initials "CPR" struck in high relief across a finely lined horizontal background. Encircling the central monogram medallion is a wide, textured border band deeply lined with repeating diagonal security ridges, which provides sharp backdrop contrast for the embossed capital lettering reading "CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY CO.". The reverse side of the domed brass casing is equipped with a sturdy, centralized metal attachment shank loop designed to handle the regular friction of structured uniforms. The reverse is stamped with a crisp, circular manufacturer backmark certifying the piece as an authentic product of W. Scully Ltd. Montreal, Canada's premier historical military and transit outfitter.

Circa: Early to Mid 20th Century

Notes:

These compact 15mm buttons served primarily as cuff, collar, or vest fasteners on the formal navy blue or black wool uniforms worn by Canadian Pacific Railway conductors, trainmen, and transit police services.
