Under Review

Material: Gilt brass with red, white, and blue enamel
Size: 15mm (width) × 20mm (height)
Description: This vintage veteran insignia features a centrally positioned, deep translucent red enamel maple leaf resting against an opaque white circular background. Encircling this inner disc is a golden garter band carrying the Latin motto "MEMORIAM EORUM RETINEBIMUS," which translates directly to "We Will Remember Them." The entire circular medallion is surmounted by a highly detailed St. Edward's Crown, which is highlighted with matching vibrant red enamel inserts. A stylized blue banner arches along the bottom base containing the word "LEGION," positioned directly above a decorative golden tier adorned with small cross and clover motifs.
Reverse: Plain gilt back with single clutch post fitting
Circa: 1953–present
Notes:
This pin represents the single most recognizable symbol of veteran support and remembrance throughout Canada, worn proudly by millions during the annual Poppy Campaign. While the organization was originally founded in 1925 as the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League, it received its formal "Royal" designation from Queen Elizabeth II in December of 1960.
