Description: This artifact is a miniature veteran lapel pin issued by the Royal Canadian Legion. The die-struck base metal pin is decorated with vibrant, multi-colored cloisonné or champlevé vitreous enamel work. A central circular medallion features a detailed red maple leaf set against a crisp white enamel background. This field is encircled by a golden banner inscribed with the organization's traditional Latin motto, "MEMORIAM EORUM RETINEBIMUS". The top of the badge is surmounted by a highly detailed St. Edward's Crown (Queen's Crown) filled with deep red enamel. The base is anchored by a two-tiered banner configuration, featuring a bold blue enamel ribbon reading "LEGION" directly above a golden panel hosting three circular geometric frames, the center of which contains a red remembrance poppy. Measuring a compact 15mm in width by 20mm in height, the reverse side features a completely unmarked surface equipped with an integrated threaded screw post and a circular spin-locking nut.
