Seaforth Highlanders Prince Leopold Royal Cypher

Under Review

Material: Sterling Silver

Size: 28mm w x 30mm h

Description: This authentic heraldic artifact displays the personal royal cypher of Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, who served historically as the Honorary Colonel of the Seaforth Highlanders. The design features a beautifully detailed coronet complete with cross-patée and fleur-de-lis finials, anchoring a large, stylized script letter “L” directly beneath it. This specific combination was heavily utilized by the Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's) across various uniform components, including specialized collar dogs, shoulder badges, and sweetheart pins. The presence of the distinct ducal coronet style explicitly separates it from other royal initials used by alternative late-Victorian military regiments.

Reverse: The reverse features a classic brushed metal texture stamped with the word "STERLING" and a "9P" workshop mark, all secured cleanly to garments using two pointed posts and metal butterfly clutch backings.

Circa: 1902-1950s
