Description: This vintage circular corporate uniform emblem features a beautifully detailed embroidery layout dedicated to HYCO Subsea Ltd., widely recognized under its operations division name, HYCOSUB. The central light-blue medallion captures a stylized cartoon profile of the famous Pisces class manned research submersible, clearly marked with a red sail tower and releasing delicate white oxygen bubbles into the water. Encircled by a prominent red border with bold black block lettering, this durable 100mm jacket insignia is finished with a heavy, tightly wrapped black merrowed border edge.

Circa: 1970-1979

Notes:

International Hydrodynamics Company (HYCO) of Vancouver, British Columbia, stands as a legendary pioneer in deep-sea engineering, famous for building the iconic Pisces series submersibles used worldwide for complex underwater salvage, industrial oil field support, and scientific oceanography. The Pisces vessels achieved international fame in August 1973 when the Pisces III sank in deep water off the coast of Ireland, triggering a dramatic, race-against-the-clock rescue that remains the deepest successful submarine extraction in human history.
