Material: Embroidered cloth badge.

Size: 65mm w x 85mm h

Description: This vintage military uniform insignia is a standard-issue sleeve patch representing the appointment of a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) in the Canadian Armed Forces. The piece features the Arms of Canada intricately machine-embroidered in multi-color threads against a thick, dark rifle green or black melton wool backing cloth. The central shield is quartered with the royal emblems of England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, sitting directly above a bottom tier showcasing three red maple leaves on a white field. Flanking the shield are the majestic golden lion holding a Union Jack banner and the silver unicorn supporting a blue banner decorated with three golden fleur-de-lis. The crest is surmounted by a royal helmet, a golden lion holding a red maple leaf, and a prominent Queen's St. Edward's Crown (QC). Three split, royal-blue scroll banners anchor the base, carrying the national motto embroidered in golden thread reading "A MARI • AD MARE" and "USQUE" (From Sea to Sea).
