Material: Staybrite (Anodized Aluminum)
Size: 33 mm × 53 mm
Description: The insignia is struck in an open, voided configuration featuring a polished gold-anodized aluminum circular garter ring boldly inscribed with the title "PRINCESS PATRICIA'S CANADIAN LIGHT INFANTRY" in raised capital lettering. Floating dynamically within the open center is a contrasting, silver-anodized aluminum script monogram of the initials "VP" resting directly inside a detailed coronet. The entire circular structure is surmounted at its apex by a brilliant gold St. Edward's Queen's Crown (QC). The reverse side features a completely mirror-bright golden finish free of manufacturer marks, complete with its original vertical brass attachment slider securely fastened to the base.
Circa: Post-1953
Notes:
The stylized lettering in the center represents the personal cypher of Lady Patricia Ramsay, who was known as Princess Patricia of Connaught when she became the first Colonel-in-Chief. She personally designed the original regimental emblem during World War I, rendering the initial sketch by hand on a scrap of paper.
