Lorne Scots King’s Crown Cap Badge

Under Review

Material: White metal
Size: 70mm w × 80mm h
Description: This authentic, oversized Canadian military insignia is crisply struck in premium white metal (wm). The structural layout features an elaborate wreath made entirely of Scottish thistle flowers and leaves, representing the regiment's deep Highland connections, surmounted at the top apex by a Tudor King's Crown (kc). Nestled inside the thistle framing is the crest of the Duke of Argyll: a fiercely roaring, collared boar's head erased, facing left. The lower section features a small inner scroll inscribed with the motto "PRO ARIS ET FOCIS" (For Altars and Hearths) floating above a wide, multi-part title banner reading "THE LORNE SCOTS (PEEL, DUFFERIN AND HALTON REGT.)". The reverse profile is unmarked, retaining its factory dual brass loops fitted with custom long cotter pin wires designed for secure attachment to a traditional glengarry or balmorals cap.
Circa: 1936–1952
