Material: White metal
Size: 47mm w × 57mm h
Description: This die-struck white metal cap badge was worn on the traditional Glengarry headgear by members of The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders, a premier primary reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Army based out of Cornwall, Ontario. The design is rich with heritage symbols superimposed upon a crisp Saint Andrew’s cross. At the center are the prominent regimental initials "SDG," surrounded by a semi-annulus scroll reading "GLENGARRY FENCIBLES". Beneath the initials, a detailed raven perched atop a rock rests over a single Canadian maple leaf, flanked on both sides by blooming Scottish thistles. A split lower scroll bears the regiment's proud Gaelic motto, "DILEAS GU BAS". The entire layout is proudly surmounted by the Queen’s Crown, signaling service to the reigning Sovereign. This specific piece features a standard vertical slider attachment marked WILLIAM SCULLY.
