Material: Padded cloth embroidery
Size: 68mm w x 82mm h
Description: This heavily padded military headdress piece showcases the exceptional level of detail found in naval formal uniform accoutrements. Embroidered meticulously onto a dense black felt and velvet backing, the central design features a fouled anchor rendered in shimmering silver metallic threads, framed by a thick corded rope border. Encircling the anchor is a sweeping wreath of multi-tiered, golden metallic bullion foliage that takes the distinct multi-pointed shape of Canadian maple leaves rather than traditional European oak leaves. A highly detailed St. Edward's Crown rests gracefully atop the anchor frame, brought to life with a vibrant crimson velvet cap insert, crisp silver thread trim, and colorful multi-hued beadwork meant to replicate fine royal gemstones.
