Description: This colorful commemorative postage stamp was issued by the People's Republic of Bulgaria as part of a dedicated conservation series celebrating protected regional flora. The vertical design showcases the Great Yellow Gentian (Gentiana lutea), featuring its iconic bright yellow-orange floral whorls arranged on a sturdy stem flanked by large, veined green leaves. The country designation "НР БЪЛГАРИЯ" runs vertically along the left border, while the word "ПОЩА" (Post) sits at the upper top left. The right side features the conservation slogan "ПАЗЕТЕ ПРИРОДАТА" (Protect Nature) running vertically, positioned just underneath the denomination of 2 stotinki ("ст. 2"). The common Bulgarian name "Жълта тинтява" and its scientific Latin name Gentiana lutea are elegantly printed in script at the bottom right. The specimen is pristine and unused, displaying intact line perforations and a clean, light-tan outer frame.
