Description: Barbados 15-cent commemorative stamp issued for the Diamond Jubilee of the Barbados Boy Scouts Association in 1972. The design, titled The Pioneers, brings together portrait medallions of Robert Baden-Powell, Charles W. Springer, and George B. Burton, framed within crossed bamboo staves and accompanied by a Scout fleur-de-lis. The composition emphasizes both the international roots of Scouting and its early development in Barbados.
