The group in the photo is the 1st Barbados Scout Troop, which was originally founded in 1912 at Combermere School by Mr. R.P. Massiah. The photo and stamp description is the "1922 troop".
The Diamond Jubilee event took place in late July and early August of 1972. It marked exactly 60 years since Scouting was first introduced to the island in 1912. To celebrate this milestone, Barbados played host to the 4th Caribbean Scout Jamboree.
The Jamboree was physically staged at the Combermere School in Bridgetown, Barbados. It brought together hundreds of local Barbadian Scouts alongside international visiting troops traveling from neighboring West Indies nations, including countries like Grenada, Guyana, and Trinidad.
