Australia Queen Elizabeth Coronation Robes

Under Review

Description: This individual postage stamp features an intricate, fine-line intaglio engraving struck in a deep dull lake or carmine-red ink on cream-colored paper. The central artwork displays Queen Elizabeth (later known as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother) standing in full regalia following the 1937 coronation, wearing an ermine-trimmed robe that cascades forward into a decorative patterned train. This regal portrait is framed within an architectural alcove defined by two classical fluted pillars and an overarching stone banner inscribed with the country name "AUSTRALIA". The lower corners isolate identical circular medallions framing a large numeric face value and currency sign reading "5/-" (5 Shillings). The physical specimen is bounded by standard paper perforations on all sides and bears a light black ink hand-stamped postal cancel on its upper and right margins.
